Catch and release

I was walking barefoot through the garden on a beautiful summer’s morning, when I heard a scream from inside the house. A baby robin had flown in through the patio door and was frantically bumping against the window. We came to the rescue and caught her. When I opened my hands, she didn’t move, still in shock from what had just happened. We were worried that she had been injured, but after a while she flew off. She’s happily hopping around the garden.
